ELEVEN CADOGAN GARDENS COMMENTS

Number Eleven Cadogan Gardens was the first of the private town house hotels and retains this leading position.

The hotel occupies four stately Victorian houses tucked away in a tree-lined square between Harrods and Sloane Square. The decoration is traditional with wood-paneled rooms hung with oil paintings, and furnished with antiques and rugs in a very English, understated style.

The atmosphere is unique; no reception desk, a butler to meet you at the door, total privacy and security. Arriving guests do not "register", instead they are invited to sign the leather-bound visitors' book.

The sixty guest rooms are all individually decorated and furnished with antiques, and many have marble bathrooms. Another attraction is the magnificent Garden Suite, with its own private entrance, large double bedroom (an extra bedroom can be added), and a spacious drawing room overlooking the gardens.

Personal touches, such as the freshly baked cake for afternoon tea, followed later by sherry and canapés, which are placed daily in the drawing room on a complimentary basis, combine with impeccable, discreet and efficient service to ensure a memorable stay.

The excellent central location of the hotel, amidst the fashionable shops and first-class restaurants of Knightsbridge, Chelsea, and Belgravia, makes Number Eleven the ideal choice for a visit to London.
