The Camden Market is a huge weekend tourist attraction and a great shopping experience.  A number of different markets stretching from Camden Lock to the Stables Market comprise the Camden experience.

The most comprehensive selection of goods is available on the weekends (best time is Sat-Sun 0800-1800), although some stalls will be operating throughout the week, excluding Mondays. A selection of handmade crafts, hippy clothing and goods, and vegetarian foods are sold in every combination imaginable.  Be prepared for very large crowds and very little room but very affordable prices. 

Did you know that Camden Town served as the model for the Cratchit family in A Christmas Carol? Charles Dickinson actually grew up here.

Camden Town/ Chalk Town Tube

Le marché de Camden est un énorme marché le week end, qui est considéré comme une attraction touristique, où l'on peut faire plusieurs bonnes affaires.

Le plus grand étalage se fait le week-end ( les meilleurs moments sont le samedi et le dimanche entre 8.00 et 18.00), même si le marché fonctionne aussi la semaine (sauf le lundi). On y trouve une sélection de produits artisanaux, des vêtements et accessoires hippies, ou encore de la nourriture végétarienne. Préparez-vous à affronter la foule et les très petits stands, mais à la vue des prix, cela vaut vraiment le coup.
